Summary of Position:

This position will participate in a production-support group in which personal contribution and ambition are highly valued and encouraged.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor systems and processes to discern normal vs. out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Learn and follow standard operating procedures ranging from routine process corrective actions to escalating issues to senior staff and/or management.
  • Communicate timely process status information to other teams and individuals.
  • Triage support calls and tasks, handling or directing each appropriately.
  • Create research and remediation tasks resulting from process failures.
  • Create and update SOP documentation.
  • Modify parameters/variables in standard scripts, test in staging environment, and propose deployment of needed/requested database updates.
  • Participate in development of application monitoring and analysis tools.
  • Communicate clearly and timely through task-system comments, conversations, and team scrum and task review meetings.
  • Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the art monitoring tools and techniques, and by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Follow established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies.

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent IT technical support work experience required
  • Experience in IT support, either through classes, internships or work opportunities
  • Preferred familiarity with T-SQL and/or C#
