Summary of Position: 

The Die Cut Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the punch press; following company and individual job standards. Responsible for producing high quality work in a high volume environment.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains general knowledge and understanding of die cutting processes and equipment.
  • Reads job tickets accurately to determine setup specifications and instructions.
  • Observes and monitors machine operation to identify issues and determine whether adjustments are needed.
  • Performs routine adjustments and maintains production throughout the run.
  • Records daily production information using specified forms.
  • Keeps work area neat and clean.
  • Maintains operation of machine by removing and replacing damaged product.
  • Assists with training workers to set up, operate and use machines.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Follows all standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position and department accurately.
  • Follows established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies, department policies, procedures, work instructions and safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED required
  • 2-3 years' experience with die cut operating equipment needed
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must have basic computer skills (data entry, etc.).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude preferred
